About Ed

Ed was surrendered to us due to life changes, and it took him a little while to understand that his world was not falling apart. Ed may be big, but underneath it all he is just a big baby. This powerful boy was scared of most things when he first arrived, but once he gets comfortable he turns into the goofiest guy you will ever meet. He is energetic and full of life, especially when there is a game of chase on offer.

Ed is extremely strong and needs an adopter who can confidently manage his size and strength. He is a good walker most of the time, but if he gets startled he can bolt or pull unpredictably to get away, so a strong handler is a must. He loves meeting kids and gets genuinely excited around them, but because he can jump up and play rough, he would do best with older children or kids who are already comfortable around large, exuberant breeds.

Ed spent his first week with us shivering and terrified, unsure of what to make of his new surroundings. Fast forward to today and you would barely recognize him. He has blossomed into the most excitable, bouncy boy, and watching that transformation has been nothing short of wonderful. Ed is ready to bring that same joy into a home that can match his energy and give him the confident guidance he needs.
