About Mocha

Mocha's story is one of survival and a whole lot of heart. She came to us in crisis, unable to eat or keep down food or water for an entire week. We rushed her into emergency care where she underwent surgery to remove a foreign body that had been making her so ill. Through it all, Mocha fought hard, and she has come out the other side healthier and happier than ever.

Now that she is on the mend, Mocha's true personality has had the chance to shine. She is deeply affectionate and loyal, the kind of dog who wants to be wherever you are. Expect a devoted shadow following you from room to room, soaking up every moment with the people she loves.

Mocha is still growing in confidence and is working on her leash manners. She is a strong girl on the leash and can feel anxious at times, so she is hoping to find a patient and persistent family who will support her as she continues to learn and settle in. An adopter with some experience handling strong dogs would set her up for success. She is the kind of dog who will give back everything you pour into her and then some.

We are still getting to know Mocha and learning more about how she does with children and other dogs, so we will share more on compatibility as we get to know her better.
