About Zeus

Zeus spent the early part of his life alone in a backyard, starved for attention and companionship. He was eventually adopted and spent four years in a home before changes in his environment made things too difficult for him to navigate. He came back to us through no fault of his own, and now this big, loving boy is ready to find his person.

Zeus is genuinely one of the most affectionate and well behaved dogs you will meet. He walks beautifully on a leash, has an impressive repertoire of tricks, and his absolute favourite thing in the world is giving a paw. He loves trail walks and outdoor adventures and is looking for a best friend to share it all with. When Zeus loves you, he loves you completely.

Zeus can be fearful and protective in certain situations, particularly when strangers approach him too quickly. He can be reactive in these moments, so walks will require some structure and awareness of his space. He is not suited for a home with children or where children visit regularly, as unpredictable movement and energy can be overwhelming for him.

Zeus also has a history of resource guarding with dogs around his sleeping space, toys, and food, which means he needs to be the only dog in the home.

Zeus is looking for someone steady and patient who will give him the stable, loving home he has always deserved. He has so much to offer and just needs the right person to see it.
