Nugget is one of the bravest little puppies we have ever met. Right now, he is fighting for his life in the ICU as he battles Parvovirus. While he has shown some encouraging signs of stability, he is still critically ill and continues to need around-the-clock veterinary care. Every day he is proving just how strong he is, and we are all hoping he will soon be well enough to leave the hospital.

When that day comes, Nugget will need more than medication and follow-up care—he will need someone to believe in him. He is looking for a dedicated foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can continue his recovery surrounded by love, patience, and comfort. His new family will need to be home often so they can support him through the next stage of his medical journey and ensure he continues to heal.

Because Parvovirus can be spread to other dogs, Nugget must go to a home with no other pets. A house with a private yard would be the safest environment, allowing him to eventually spend time outdoors without putting other dogs at risk. At this time, apartments and condos are not suitable due to the shared outdoor spaces.

Nugget has already fought so hard for the chance at a future. Now he just needs someone willing to open their home and heart while he takes the final steps toward recovery. If you’ve been thinking about fostering, this little puppy needs you more than ever.
