About Charlie

Charlie was surrendered to us along with another Shepherd when their owner became ill and was no longer able to care for them. Charlie missed out on the early training that would have helped him build confidence, and he can be nervous with new people at first. But once he gets to know you, he loves to lean right into you for comfort and affection.

Charlie is currently working on his leash manners as well as his reactivity toward other dogs. He is still under evaluation to see if he could potentially live with another dog in the home, so his ideal family would be open to that process and patient with his progress along the way.

Charlie is high energy and needs plenty of exercise to stay happy and balanced. He would do well in a home with teens or older, where he can continue to build his confidence in a calm, steady environment while getting the activity he craves. With patience and consistency, Charlie is ready to blossom into the loyal and affectionate companion he is meant to be.
