About Ivy

Ivy has been through more than most dogs should have to face. Rescued as an abused puppy, she spent many years with a family but when they were no longer able to keep her, she ended up on the brink of euthanasia before finding her way to us.

She's a sensitive girl who takes a little time to feel safe in new surroundings and to trust a new person. Once she does, though, she opens up into a genuinely sweet, easygoing dog. She loves her walks, never turns down a treat, and will happily soak up all the attention you're willing to give her. She's clever and eager to learn, and would do best with an active adopter who enjoys spending time outdoors and wants to keep building on her training.

Ivy does best in a quiet home with a good, steady routine, where she can feel settled and know what to expect from her days. She can also be particular about other dogs and needs time to warm up before she trusts them. She has some allergies and skin sensitivities as well, but these are easy to manage with medication and a special diet.

What Ivy needs most is someone patient enough to earn her trust. Once she gives it, she gives everything back.
