About Lisa & Blackie

Lisa and Blackie came to us after being surrendered from a backyard breeder, and these two couldn't be more different in personality while being equally wonderful in every way.

Lisa is a ball of energy and pure love. She is enthusiastic, affectionate, and absolutely loves giving kisses to anyone who will have them. Long walks and playtime are her idea of a perfect day, and her zest for life is completely contagious. She is wonderful with children and greets every new person she meets with open paws and a whole lot of excitement.

Blackie is the gentle old soul of the pair. This sweet senior is looking for nothing more than a quiet, comfortable retirement filled with cuddles, soft orthopaedic beds, and the warmth of a loving home. He too is wonderful with children and happy to meet everyone who crosses his path, greeting them with the calm and quiet grace of a true gentleman.

Both Lisa and Blackie are currently receiving medical care to make sure they are as healthy and comfortable as possible. Blackie is being worked up for a very large mass and is on medication to keep him comfortable in the meantime. He is doing well and is being closely monitored by our veterinary team. Lisa is being treated for chronic ear infections, allergies, and a heart murmur, and she is already looking and feeling so much better since starting treatment. Full medical details will be shared with their adopters along with ongoing guidance and support.
