About Mello

Mello is a gentle, affectionate 5-year-old with soulful eyes and a big heart. He came to us under heartbreaking circumstances—after his owner passed away, Mello and his companion Loca were left alone in their home without food or water. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought to safety, and now Mello is on the path to healing and finding a loving home of his own.

Sensitive by nature, Mello is still adjusting to all the changes in his life. Shelter life has been hard on him, and he’s currently on anxiety medication to help him feel more at ease. He’s also managing allergies that require a special diet and regular medicated baths—but don’t worry, he’s a total champ about it all.

Once he trusts you, Mello’s affectionate and playful personality begins to shine. He loves gentle affection, relaxing walks, and being near his people. He would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace.
