Storm came to us when her previous owner's schedule couldn't keep up with her needs, and she spent far too much time confined to a crate. Despite this rough start, Storm has blossomed into an absolute sweetheart who greets every person she encounters with pure joy and enthusiasm. Her sunny disposition is infectious, and she's determined to make up for lost time by soaking up all the love and interaction she can get.

Because Storm was cooped up for such a long stretch, she's still learning how to channel all that pent-up excitement appropriately. Right now, she expresses her happiness through wiggling, mouthing, and jumping, which means she needs a family with patience and dedication who can help her learn better ways to show her affection. An active household that can provide consistent training and plenty of physical exercise will help this eager girl thrive. She'll do best with teenagers or adults in the home, as her exuberant greetings and high energy can be overwhelming for little ones.

Storm is a true adventurer at heart and is highly food-motivated, which makes her a dream to train for anyone willing to put in the effort. She does have some allergies that cause skin irritation, but staying on her prescribed diet keeps her feeling comfortable and happy. As for canine companions, Storm's intensity and pushy play style can be too much for many dogs to handle. She'll need either a home where she's the solo pet, or one with a confident, high-energy dog who won't be bothered by her boisterous approach to friendship.
