ABOUT ZIRA
Zira may be small in size, but her spirit is larger than life. This compact little powerhouse came to us from another shelter after being surrendered by her previous owner. While we don’t know the full story of her past, one thing is certain: Zira has never let hardship dim her light.
Born with congenital limb deformities, Zira moves through life a little differently—but that doesn’t stop her from dancing to her own beat. She might wobble, but oh, can she boogie! She’s the definition of determination, showing us every day that joy doesn’t come from perfection, but from resilience and attitude.
To help her get around more comfortably, Zira uses a stroller, which she absolutely loves—it gives her front-row access to all her favorite things, especially sniffing the grass and soaking up the sunshine. We're currently exploring the option of custom braces to help improve her mobility even more.
Zira was also heartworm positive when she arrived, but she's been undergoing treatment like a champ and is almost finished. Through it all, she’s kept her tail wagging and her spirit high.
She’s looking for a loving home that appreciates her unique needs and vibrant personality. Zira would thrive with a family who enjoys a more relaxed, low-activity lifestyle and is ready to welcome a spunky, resilient little dog into their hearts.
