Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with kilometers of walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. ABOUT THIS POSITION:
We are looking for a passionate full time and on-site Media Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our Media team and creating social media campaigns that drive our followers to take action. You will be creating and publishing original content to help improve our brand awareness and build an interactive social media community. Our Media Manager will be working with a high volume of content and will therefore be working under tight deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and lead the Media department team of specialists, artists, videographers and photographers
Oversee creation and scheduling with the Media team to ensure timelines are being met and content is up to standard across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc)
Organize and plan photoshoots
Manage and monitor social media channels, ensuring followers are engaged and responded to in a timely manner
Analyze the performance of social media campaigns, adjusting strategies accordingly to improve overall performance
Create a social media plan and calendar to drive awareness and engagement
Manage online shop and source items
Plan and lead Open House, adoption, volunteer, staff and fundraising events
Liaise with other departments to ensure information is accurate and relevant
Conduct daily and weekly meetings with the Media team
QUALIFICATIONS:
Marketing, Communications, or a related field of experience
Experience managing a team of people
Proven experience in social media management and content creation
Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics
Creative mindset with eye for design and aesthetics
Ability to thrive with tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

SALARY: Based on experience
SCHEDULE:
Due to the nature of our industry, weekend availability is required. The shifts are 5 days a week 8am-5pm.
Please note, reliable access to a car is necessary as there is not public transit near our facility
