We are excited to share that our kennel rooms for the year 2026 are now available for “adoption.”

Our Adopt-A-Room program was created to help support the dogs who call our shelter home. Since opening our doors in 2014, more than 2,000 dogs have found comfort, safety, and a second chance at Dog Tales. They have arrived here for many reasons — some after their families could no longer care for them, others after being abandoned, neglected, or spending years in overcrowded shelters across the globe. No matter their past, each dog deserves a space that feels safe and steady while they wait for the loving family they deserve.

While they are with us, their room becomes their sanctuary — a place to rest, heal, and feel at home. Some rooms have welcomed dozens of lucky dogs who quickly moved on to forever families, while others have provided long-term comfort to residents who have needed us the most.

By adopting a room, you directly support the care, comfort, and shelter of the dog(s) who will stay there throughout the year. It’s a meaningful way to create a personal connection with our rescue dogs, a thoughtful gift for any animal lover, and a beautiful way to honour or remember someone special.

Every “adopted” room will feature a personalized plaque on the resident’s door, displaying a message of your choosing. This plaque allows visitors to see the important role that you—or someone you love—has played in helping our dogs on their journey home. All room adoptions are valid for one full year.
