Our dog handlers are responsible for ensuring that our dogs are out of their rooms enjoying the great outdoors as much as possible throughout the day. Dog handlers work together to conduct afternoon playgroups, and assist senior handlers with training and rehabilitation. This is a physically demanding position and applicants must be comfortable on their feet all day (in all weather conditions!). Dog handlers must be confident working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and personalities. Familiarity with positive reinforcement training techniques is an asset. Weekend availability is required.
Our incredible cleaners ensure that our shelter is always sparkling in order to keep our dogs happy, comfortable, and healthy while they wait for forever homes. Keen attention to detail is key. Our cleaners, are a huge part to making our shelter one of a kind. Weekend availability is required.
Our Night Guards are responsible for the well-being of all of our animals between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. Night Guards must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a security position, and must be able to work independently. Good physical condition is necessary, as regular patrols of the property are required. Experience working with animals is an asset. Weekend availability is required.
We are looking to hire a photographer who must have experience in videography and video editing and has photoshop and graphic design skills. The photographer is responsible for capturing original content, photos and videos for our social media pages. Product photography and creating branding for our new store front will be required as well.
The Media Specialist is responsible for creating social media campaigns and calls-to-action that drive followers to take action. You will be creating and publishing original content to help us improve awareness and our brand. You will also be expected to research, monitor and report current social media trends and adapting it to our social media channels. Social media success requires acting in real time, and, as such, this is not a 9-5 job. A flexible schedule and the ability to work well under pressure is a must.
